INEC postpones elections

(February 7, 2015) The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the general elections till March 28 and April 11. INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega announced the new dates after meetings with chairmen and secretaries of political parties and resident electoral commissioners in Abuja.

Tribunal upholds Aregbesola's election

(February 6, 2015) The Election Petition Tribunal in Oshogbo, Osun State has upheld the election of Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola in the August 9 gubernatorial polls held in that state. In its verdict today in Oshogbo, the tribunal headed by Justice Elizabeth Ipejime declared Aregbesola as duly elected in the election.

Judiciary workers suspend strike
